Doc Edge Forum is a screen industry event that brings together local and international film, TV and interactive media professionals. It offers seminars, panel discussions, masterclasses and networking opportunities.
Day 1 - Doc Edge Pitch
Friday, 31 May 2019
9am - 5pm
The annual pitching event, Doc Edge Pitch, will once again form part of the Auckland Doc Edge Forum. Doc Edge Pitch is a stage for filmmakers to pitch their project to a wide range of industry stakeholders including broadcasters, commissioning editors, funding agencies, distributors and independent producers. Selected projects are given seven minutes to pitch, after which they receive feedback and advice from the panel. The panel will select the Best Pitch to be announced at the Doc Edge Film Awards.
We are very excited to welcome all participants to a French-German luncheon reception. It is a great opportunity to meet the international delegation.
A series of a fast-paced, one-on-one meeting between panellists, pitchers and selected filmmakers.
Day 2 - Doc Edge Forum
Saturday, 1 June 2019
The 13th Auckland Doc Edge Forum will offer a selection of bespoke panel discussions with local and international experts that will educate and inspire filmmakers to think creatively and find effective solutions to audience engagement. Panel discussions will investigate the latest trends in distribution strategy, international co-productions and VOD.
The Auckland programme will also look at current and important issues within the local documentary industry and give unique access to decision makers, funding agencies and visiting filmmakers. The Doc Edge Forum will conclude with a casual networking opportunity for attendees to discuss partnerships with like-minded professionals.
